Case Study: RMHC and McDonald’s Kensington (NSW)
RMHC and McDonald’s Kensington (NSW)
|
For over 3 years McDonalds Kingsford branch has held a fund raising event for RMHC. To help promote and run the event, McDonalds Kingsford partnered with Bannershop for all their signage requirements.
“The budget is always tight as we are trying to raise money for ill children and their families, and promoting the event was crucial to its success too” said Julia Brodska, Event Manager .

The challenges facing McDonald’s Kensington in running the events were many, from working through all the approvals to meet Local Council regulations, to increasing support from local businesses, to traffic control.
Having created and delivered banners to help promote the event with turnaround time of less than 48 hours was one aspect that delighted McDonald’s Kingsford. “The speed and efficiency of Bannershop was amazing, as was the quality of the banners themselves’ said Julia.
|
“On the day of the event in 2012, we had so many participants arriving we had to reach out for additional traffic control… so I guess you could say that the banners we got from Bannershop sure worked”

Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC)
|
Founded in memory of McDonald’s creator, Ray Croc, RMHC is an independent, non-profit organisation that assists seriously ill children and their families.
The first Ronald McDonald House was opened in 1981 and since then they have helped over 75,000 families. A remarkable 1 in 8 Australians have been helped, or know someone who has used one of the RMHC programs.
McDonald's Australia pays all administration and management costs of RMHC and are a generous donor, the rest of the essential funds are raised independently.
Additional funding is raised via the public, business and supplier donations, as well as McDonalds franchisees and their employees – who meet all the administration costs, so all donations can go directly to one of the RMHC programs.
